The Designs Are Very 'Pop'! I Think of Them as Wearable Art.
A lifelong fan of sixties style, designer Lisa Perry has come a long way from the orange shag-carpeted home where she grew up in suburban Chicago. The owner of LP Style, LLC, she is also the visionary behind the bold creations that mirror the spirit of the American Heart Association's Go Red For Women movement.
"Our inspiration was the Campbell's® soup can—the ultimate iconic image of pop art. We then paired it with the 1960s shapes we use in our own line. This created the perfect marriage between fashion and art, which I find very visually exciting, and inspires me and my collections," she explains.
An activist at her core, Lisa considers being able to use her fashion talents and raise awareness about an important cause the perfect combination. "Campbell inviting me to take part in a tradition of creative couture that goes back to the 1920s is an honor, " she says. "And I am an advocate for women's health, as well as a woman who cares about her own health."
She also admits she's got a soft spot for Campbell's® soup, which she loved growing up—especially Chicken & Stars.
